EGMF, together with 6 EU trade associations, co-signed a position paper advocating the use of the digital format of the DoC as an alternative to the paper format, in all relevant pieces of EU harmonisation legislation.
A digital DoC is fit for the digital age as the uptake and use of electronic means and digital tools has significantly increased in recent years. We call on the European Commission to consider amending the Blue Guide to make it possible for manufacturers to provide the digital version of the DoC when placing products on the EU market.
