EGMF and partners call on EU and national leaders to relaunch Europe’s competitiveness
EGMF joins forces with 84 associations in co-signing a European industry manifesto, calling on EU and national leaders to relaunch Europe’s competitiveness. With the EU starting a new legislative cycle facing key economic, social and geopolitical challenges, it is now time to build a plan that reclaims and boosts the Single Market and shapes a regulatory environment where the European industry remains competitive and innovative.
EGMF and the other co-signatories urge EU policy makers to focus on the following five priorities.
- Reposition Europe as a global trade leader by creating a platform that allows EU companies to stay competitive across borders and addressing unfair competition
- Unlock the full potential of the Single Market which is essential to facilitate the twin digital and green transition
- Strengthen cooperation between industry and public authorities to bring the innovation gap
- Implement policies that reinforce education, reskilling, and upskilling to address current skills’ shortages
