EGMF co-signs joint industry letter on the Environmental Omnibus
EGMF co-signed a joint industry response to the European Commission’s consultation on the upcoming Omnibus Regulation proposal aiming to reduce administrative burden stemming from environmental legislation, known as Environmental Omnibus.
The joint industry letter is addressed to high-level recipients at the European Commission and calls for the harmonisation and simplification of the framework on the substances of concern across EU legislation.
Key points:
- Ensuring a harmonised, targeted, and risk-based approach to substances in products.
- Avoiding duplicating information requirements already covered by SVHCs in REACH and other regulations.
- Adopting a “One list – One Declaration” principle for hazardous chemicals.
