Joint position paper on labelling requirements for batteries
EGMF submitted a joint position paper with EPTA in response to the European Commission’s consultation on the draft Implementing Act on harmonised labelling requirements for batteries.
EGMF and EPTA recommend that the future Implementing Regulation removes the reference to the CLP Regulation for the labelling of hazardous substances, guarantees manufacturers’ flexibility to choose text-free labels, and aligns the QR Code and Battery Passport timelines with the proposed labelling rules.
